About Coralville
Located in Johnson County, Coralville is a suburb of Iowa City and started its development after what was then the largest dam in along the Iowa River was constructed and the mills started using the power generated by the dam. The town got its name Coralville shortly after a Harvard Zoologist spoke at the University of Iowa and reference the 'Coral Reefs of Iowa City' and was impressed by the amounts of fossilzed coral in the limestone around the Iowa River.
